2009 Summer Camps a success!

Our three lacrosse camps held in Surrey this year went off without a hitch.  We were able to have our highest overall camp attendance yet with over 100 campers over the two weeks.  We are looking forward to making even more improvements, evolving and growing the camp next year.  Check back in the new year for 2010 summer camp dates and if you have any feedback, questions or concerns please don't hesitate to email, jordan@wildwestlacrosse.com

Crowley Honored South of the Border

Camp instructor Kevin Crowley was selected by Face: Off Magazine as a preseason second team All-American.  All-American honors are given to the top college lacrosse players in the NCAA.  Being selected as a second team All-American means he is regarded as one of the top 8 midfielders in College.  This is an upgrade from the honorable mention All-American honours he received at the beginning of last season and is not the first time Kevin has received accolades in recent months.  He was invited to Toronto to tryout for team Canada’s 2010 world championship team this past fall and helped lead the Jr. Bellies to a WLA championship series this summer.  Kevin has brought a combination of great lacrosse skills and personality to camp each of the last two summers for Wild West Lacrosse.  We look forward to having him instruct again at next summer’s camps.

Kevin represented team Canada at the U-19 world field lacrosse championships where he was named All-World.  A native of New Westminster he played a year of field lacrosse at SFU before attending Stony Brook University with two other BC boys, Rhys Duch and Jordan Mcbride.  Check out the video link below to see the players in action
